**DELETED MY STATEMENT** It's on you. Blow your motor up if you want.

LQ4 by the way is a smaller bore. LQ9 is the direct 6.0 swap. At least if you're going to quote me, use my words.

By the way, I found posts out there on different forums just now of people saying they put 800-900HP down reliably on their stock LS1 or LS2 blocks. Give me a break... Anyone can talk out their ass. But if you're going to believe them, ask them for some real proof.

The LQ4 is not a smaller bore. The LQ4 and LQ9 are both 6.0 truck engines. The LQ9 just has higher compression and slightly different headwork. And yeah, people are making 1,000 hp out of aluminum block engines and even putting warranties on them. Look at the Lingenfelter Vette. Thats a factory aluminum block making over 900 RWHP with a warranty.

Both the LQ4 and LQ9 have the 317 heads, which are essentially 243 (LS6/LS2) heads with larger combustion chambers (243 = 64cc, 317 = 72cc). The LQ4, LQ9 and LS2 have the same bore and stroke (4.00 x 3.62). The LQ4 has dished pistons, where as the LQ9 and LS2 have flat top pistons. The difference from the LQ9 and LS2, besides aluminum vs iron respectively, is the LS2 has the 243 heads (from the LS6), while the LQ9 has the 317 (typical 6.0L heads).
